Squiggly Bead meltdown

I used to do beadweaving, so have a huge stash of glass beads, which I've been tempted to melt down/fuse.  I started with this small squiggly millefiori bead, and got quite an interesting effect.  Unfortunately the irridescent glass I used underneath didn't make any difference, as I did overfire the piece.  Lesson:- for "try-outs" - dont use anything expensive!

Sparkles

This is a beautiful sparkly glass called - "R B Splinter" - which has been fired with a piece of clear glass over the top.  I fired it on med/high for a short time, then a zap on high.  I'm afraid I dont really time my pieces too well - I just keep peeking at them till I think they're cooked.

This is called "Aventurine Green" - also a lovely deep green sparkle.

Bits & Pieces

these were fired - I split the piece in half and refired them as 2 pieces.
This was made in a slightly larger HotPot microwave kiln on mainly low settings
the piano keys are not my original design - I copied this idea.
The two lower smallest pieces were the constructed in the same way, (I thought!), when I fired them at the same time, but they did not come out identically!    ?

Dichroic Glass

There is a beautiful selection of dichroic glass which make wonderful pendants. I usually use Warm Glass ....... https://warm-glass.co.uk/...
